RVC Sublimation Ink Printed Sheets
Reminder: Sublimation Ink Printed sheets look dull. This is NORMAL. As the ink is heated the colour will come out and be very vibrant!
How to use RVC Sublimation Printed ink sheets on MUGS
- Use a lint roller to prep the item you are applying to!
- The Printed image is mirrored. There is no transfer tape on this print.
- Use plain paper or butchers paper between your mug paper layers and heating tool to prevent ink transfer.
- Apply your design ink side down to the mug, Use HIGH TEMP HEAT TAPE to secure your design firmly and prevent it moving. This will give you a crisps sharp image
- If using heat mug press, preheat your press to 200 C, medium to firm pressure for 150-200 seconds. (check your specific press instructions, as automatic models like the Cricut Mug press adjust on their own)
- If using a convection oven, preheat to 195-200 C, Suggestion: use an independent oven thermometer to verify accuracy of device. Set the mug inside a silicone mug wrap(remember paper between sublimation sheet and silicon wrap to prevent ink transfer). or wrap in a heat shrink sleeve. Heat the wrapped mug for 12-15minutes.
- Use heat proof gloves when removing the mug from heat press or oven.
- Wait for it to be completely cool before handling and removing wraps to reveal your creation or washing.
For all other sublimation blanks – time will vary between materials and may require testing before beginning batch production. However, we recommend press temperatures between 185-195 Degrees. Use high temp heat tape and check to ensure ink has transferred enough to the substrate. If its not ready, press a little longer until desired print is achieved
