What will vinyl stick to?
The beauty of adhesive vinyl is it sticks to almost all smooth surfaces as long as they are clean and dry. Plastic, glass, car windows, wood (with a smooth clean finish), tiles, walls, blackboards, acrylics, cardstock etc are all perfect examples.
What is the best way to apply adhesive vinyl?
The most important thing is to make sure the surface you’re applying to is clean and dry. We can’t stress enough how important this is. Use an alcohol based cleaner (isopropyl alcohol) for best results. Please also take care not to touch the area with your fingers, the oil from your hands can hinder results. For maximum adhesion is usually reached within 12-48hours.
What is the difference between permanent and removable vinyl?
Permanent adhesive vinyl (often referred to as outdoor vinyl) is perfect for outdoor signs, car decals, mugs or decor. Most permanent vinyls have a glossy finish. Permanent vinyl can be removed, but it may do damage to more delicate surfaces such as walls or paint.
Removable vinyl (often referred to as indoor vinyl) is perfect for delicate surfaces such as wall decals or for any time you want a temporary application. Removable vinyl often has a matte finish.
